“Stuck with You” by Jay Northcote

Two clashing colleagues stuck together for Christmas–will opposites eventually attract?

Patrick has been single since he broke up with his cheating ex almost a year ago. With Christmas looming, he’s resigned to spending it alone with only memories of happier times for company. When a business trip with a co-worker leaves them stranded in the Lake District due to heavy snow, it seems Patrick will have company for Christmas after all. It’s a shame his companion is Kyle, who’s undeniably attractive, but annoying as hell.

Aware of Patrick’s reluctant admiration, Kyle basks in the attention even though Patrick isn’t the type of man he normally goes for. Averse to relationships after being hurt in the past, Kyle enjoys the occasional hook up, but has given up on seeking anything more meaningful.

Stuck together, their antagonism escalates along with a heavy dose of sexual tension until it finally ignites. What starts as a Christmas fling soon feels like something special; but will their tentative connection melt away as the snow thaws? If they’re going to take a chance on finding happiness together, they’ll have to put their differences aside and learn to trust one another.

There are many things that I look forward to during the holidays and Jay’s annual story is most definitely one of them. Every year a new gift is delivered and this was another fantastic addition to his Christmas collection. This round we have a delicious dose of stark opposites and temptation that’s bound to catch fire. Which is a blessing since we’re snowed in. Patrick has been training his younger colleague at work and it hasn’t been going so well. They bicker and banter all day long. Which coincidentally has been a prolonged act of foreplay. They annoy and irritate each other but there’s also a fierce attraction (however denied it may be) that keeps them going. When a snowstorm forces them to take shelter in a cozy rental, both find themselves confronted with the hard truth. Things need to change. And the first modification is their relationship. But is this just a holiday fling? A circumstance of convenience? Or can they hold fast and…stick together?

I’m always eager for Jay’s saucy mix and Patrick and Kyle tickled my fancy. Patrick is slightly older but much more…respectable. Well, he seems to think so. Kyle is younger, flippant, and addicted to his electronic extremity. Actually, it’s his link to hook-ups through the wondrous world of Grindr. He’s all about fashion and aesthetics and has no need for practical aspects of the world. And he won’t deny his playboy reputation. When Patrick wishes to stop for a hike in the Lake District he grudgingly agrees. But then the weather flips and suddenly they are…stuck. He’s not going home for Christmas, he’s not prepared for the bitter cold of Jack Frost, and doesn’t know how he’ll pass the time. Until…until he discovers his companion has layers, which he would like to peel away. In the process, he reveals a naughty tier that he is rather fond of. Of course, this is just dilly-dallying playing…right? Hmmm……

Although both men are quite different both have experienced heartbreak. Patrick hasn’t forgotten the harsh sting from his ex’s betrayal and Kyle is well versed in his own fair share of heartache. And besides, they are SO different they could never work out long-term. Leave it to Jay to prove otherwise. It’s no spoiler that this tale is smoking hot and ends with a banging good time smile. I loved the frosty Mrs. Wilcox and her trusty pup. I loved how they all came together as a temporary family. I loved the kickback feels that divulged into so much more. I just…loved it. It was sexy, sweet, and full of holiday cheer.

A pair of contradictory yet compatible souls. A bit of spanking. And a wintry blast that brings two men together…in the most delightful way.

If you are searching for a fun, sexy holiday treat…settle in, this is a lovely story that is sure to warm your heart.
