“The Prince and His Bedeviled Bodyguard” by Charlie Cochet

Prince Owin

Being a fierce predator—not at all adorable, despite my graceful stature—the last thing I needed was a bodyguard. Especially a wolf shifter, whose presence alone was an insult to my princely principles. As Prince of the Ocelot Shifters, I prided myself on my infallible feline instincts, uncompromisable dignity, and flawless fashion sense. If having a canine follow me around at all times wasn’t bad enough, I now faced the most important moment of my entire life. The time had come to prove I was worthy of my crown. If only I could find a way to get rid of the pesky bodyguard.

When the King of All Shifters asked me to guard Prince Owin, I admit I had no idea what to expect. Cat shifters tend to be a little intense, not to mention kinda cranky. Owin was no exception, though he seemed crankier than most. Being his bodyguard was proving to be one of the greatest challenges of my life—but not nearly as great as convincing him there was something special between us. When Owin is faced with a perilous quest to prove his worth, I was determined to keep him safe, even if the same couldn’t be said of my heart.

Pure and simple FUN! This short story isn’t complex or deep but it sure was a blast. I giggled and smiled so hard my cheeks hurt. And lately, simple pleasures are priceless. I’m a sucker for a good shifter story and Cochet presents a fresh unique take with the Paranormal Princes series. A quirky king and his right-hand man create an uproarious matchmaking tale of tails.
Prince Owin is a spoiled brat with a soft center hiding behind his sassy brass exterior. The time for his quest has come and he’s saddled with a bodyguard for the trip. A particular canine bodyguard that drives him crazy. Grimm is fabulous and I fell for him early on. On the other hand, Owin takes a bit to warm up to. However, I do love persnickety kitties and Owin excels at high maintenance. Luckily for him, Grimm can’t resist the fussy feline.
They begin their adventure and strive to achieve every task to finish their challenge. The witty dialogue kept me laughing the entire time. I’ve enjoyed some of Charlie’s matchmaking in the past and this was no exception. This unlikely pair is put to the test and must take a chance to succeed. Overall, I found it to be charming and delightful. Better yet, I couldn’t wait to move along to the second couple in the series. I’d call that a win-win!

An out of this world lighthearted and fun-loving adventure. Plan on low steam but lots of laughs. And opposites attract and prove love is boundless.

bookisforIf you enjoy paranormal romance and need something to lift your spirits, why not try this jovial jaunt with a prince and his bodyguard? It’s a howling good time!
